Carp Farmers Market - May 27th

Saturday May 27^th was Farmgate Cider’s debut at the Carp Farmers Market.  To be honest, I was unsure the about the strength of the fit of a morning cider tasting (8am-1pm).  But it turns out it was a big hit. Lots of interest and great feedback and we sold all the cider we had bottled!  We even had a few “I am not a cider drinker” change their colours after a sample “this is not like an apple cider I have had before” with some even buying a bottle.   A fraction of folks who sampled expressed an interest in an off dry or sweet cider which will definitely be something we experiment with.  This week will be a busy week bottling up some more cider, getting our banner & business cards ready and launching our new website to be ready for our June 3 market.  Hope to see you then.

The Carp Farmers Market is held every Saturday from May to October at the lovely Carp Fair Grounds in Carp.   It is a vibrant market which offers a broad cross-section of local fare from produce, arts, cider & wine, arts and crafts as well as nice array of food concessions and often live music - the place to be on a Saturday morning.
