The McNally-Matheson family
This initiative grew out of a school project where Connor McNally (age 9, grade 4) was encouraged to grow something. In addition to a number of vegetables, Connor and his family have decided to try and grow apple trees from seed.
Farmgate Cider
Jim and Brenda Davies grow lots of different varieties of apples in their orchard at the western edge of Ottawa near Arnprior. Our orchard began with a simple love of trees. Connor’s father (Dr. Dayre McNally) is a pediatrician and scientist at CHEO and is the co-founder of the Canadian Science Fair Journal. He will work with these organizations, including Stayci Keetch (Communications director, CHEO Research Institute) to communicate the opportunity through Ottawa
